With the pandemic still going on it is hard to enjoy our everyday life, when we can’t even do normal activities let alone many of those fun activities perfect for the fall and Halloween season. However, here are 5 of my favorite fall themed date ideas that are safe to try during this pandemic.

  1. Pumpkin Patch

Nothing screams Fall more than a pumpkin patch! There are plenty of pumpkin patches currently operating safely during COVID-19 in Southern California.

One pumpkin patch that specifically caught my eye this year is Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Patch in Redlands, California. They have plenty of attractions such as a corn maze, farmers market, magic shows, hayrides, pumpkin fields and more.

This is a perfect date idea for the fall season. Take a trip to a pumpkin patch, get lost in a corn maze, and pick out a nice pumpkin to carve later on. Which brings us to our next date idea.

2. Pumpkin Carving

Another great traditional fall activity that can be done in the comfort of your own home! Now if you don’t feel completely comfortable going to a pumpkin patch for your pumpkin you can always find one at your local grocer.

Enjoy a fun day in and carve pumpkins with your significant other. Maybe make a game out of if and post it on your Instagram story and have your followers vote on the best pumpkin. Loser pays for your next date!

3. Horror Movie Marathon

Spooky season isn’t complete without watching your favorite horror movies! So why not make a whole date night out of it? Order takeout or a fresh pizza , pick up some of your favorite snacks, grab a few blankets, and cuddle up with your date. It’s a perfect excuse to get closer to your date during a scary movie.

4. Los Angeles Haunted Hayride

This goes out to the readers who love a good scare. Unfortunately COVID-19 has put a stop to many Halloween activities such as Universal Studios Horror Nights, Knotts Scary Farm, and more. Luckily the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride is offering a Drive-In experience for those Halloween lovers! So grab your tickets and enjoy a horror filled night in the safety of your own car.

5. Afternoon Walk

Now this is specifically catered to readers who may not have the funds to spend on dates this season. Times are tough, there have been job losses, and cut hours but this doesn’t mean you have to miss out of fall dates. A walk in the park or your neighborhood is perfect during the Fall season, and honestly a must!

The leaves on trees are starting to change into beautiful browns and oranges and slowly beginning to fall on the ground. Mix those colors along the crisp Fall afternoon air, a beautiful golden sunset and you have a perfect romance package.

It’s a great and zero cost way to spend quality time with your significant other and enjoy the nature around you.
