Vegan food has now made an appearance in the fast food industry. Plant Power Fast Food is an all vegan fast food restaurant in Southern California. They believe, one of the most powerful decisions that any of us can make is to decrease the amount of animal products in our diet.

While making changes to your health and environment by eating non-animal products, you can still enjoy options that are provided in the fast food industry. Health studies show that vegan diets are associated with being thinner, having lower cholesterol, and having lower blood pressure, among other health benefits. People can try out a healthier take on fast food that may be more beneficial to your health without fully compensating on cutting out fast food completely.

Plant Power Fast Food’s menu consists of, burgers, fries, salads, shakes, and other tasty treats made entirely without the use of animal products, GMO’s or artificial ingredients and served to you in 100% biodegradable materials. Their take of vegan friendly meals loosely parallels standard fast-food fare, in terms of burgers ($7–10), fried “chicken”, and fried “fish” sandwiches ($9).

Whether these alternatives are as satisfying as the original, is all opinion based and may be worth the experience to try out. Their menu features different takes from traditional fast food menus. Such as the Big Zac, which is their vegan version of McDonald's Big Mac.

Plant Power is expanding across Southern California. Their first location opened up in San Diego back in 2016. Their other locations include Redlands, Long Beach, Encinitas, and a new location in Riverside. Plant Power Fast food also has a food truck that goes around the city of Los Angeles. Their website contains the events, locations, and dates where the food truck can be found.
